Using Skin Melanin Layer for Facial Pore Identification in RGB Digital Images
نویسندگان
چکیده
Human face feature extraction using digital images is a vital element for several applications such as: identification and facial recognition, medical application, video games, cosmetology, etc. The skin pores are very important element of the structure of the skin. A novelty method is proposed allowing decomposing an photography of human face from digital image (RGB) in two layers, melanin and hemoglobin. From melanin layer, the main pores from the face can be obtained, as well as the centroids of each of them. It has been found that the pore configuration of the skin is invariant and unique for each individual. Therefore, from the localization of the pores of a human face, it is a possibility to use them for diverse application in the fields of pattern

Estimation of Melanin and Hemoglobin Using Spectral Reflectance Images Reconstructed from a Digital RGB Image by the Wiener Estimation Method
A multi-spectral diffuse reflectance imaging method based on a single snap shot of Red-Green-Blue images acquired with the exposure time of 65 ms (15 fps) was investigated for estimating melanin concentration, blood concentration, and oxygen saturation in human skin tissue. The technique utilizes the Wiener estimation method to deduce spectral reflectance images instantaneously from an RGB imag...

The concept of face detection is very useful in many applications like face recognition, facial expression recognition, face tracking, facial feature extraction, gender classification, identification system, document control and access control, clustering, biometric science, human computer interaction (HCI) system, digital cosmetics and many more [1]. In literature [2][10] there are many well-k...
متن کاملA New Algorithm for Skin Lesion Border Detection in Dermoscopy Images
Background: With advances in medical imaging systems, digital dermoscopy has become one of the major imaging modalities in the analysis of skin lesions. Thus, automated segmentation or border detection has a great impact on the subsequent steps of skin cancer computer-aided diagnosis using demoscopy images. Since dermoscopy images suffer from artifacts such as shading and hair, there is a need ...
متن کامل3x3 Technique for RGB Snapshot Mapping of Skin Chromophores
Three monochromatic spectral images have been extracted from a single RGB image data set at simultaneous illumination of skin by 473nm, 532nm and 609nm spectral lines. They were further transformed into distribution maps of three skin chromophores melanin, oxyhemoglobin and deoxy-hemoglobin, related to pigmented and vascular skin malformations. Performance and clinical potential of the proposed...
متن کاملPrincipal Component Analysis for the Whole Facial Image With Pigmentation Separation and Application to the Prediction of Facial Images at Various Ages
In this article, principal component analysis is applied to pigmentation distribution in the whole face to obtain feature values, and the relationship between the obtained feature vectors and age is estimated by multiple regression analysis to simulate the changes of facial images in women of ages 10 to 80. Since the human face receives more attention than other body parts, a change of a small ...
